Ann Mahoney has loved and cared for miniature horses for 18 years, and Unbridled Visions is the project she created to share the joy of miniature horses with kids and their families.
Prior to founding Unbridled Visions, she managed a miniature horse training center with over 20 miniature horses and traveled across the United States to prepare them for competition.
Today, her goal isn’t bringing home another trophy – it’s bringing a smile to a kid through the magic of miniature horses. While the experience may only last a day, the memories last a lifetime.

Megan Mahoney is Ann’s daughter and she has been spellbound by miniature horses since the age of six, when she received a miniature horse magazine that captured the wonder of these beautiful creatures. The magic never subsided, and at the age of 18, she began training miniature horses professionally, winning national championships with some of the finest miniature show horses in the world.
Yet her favorite moments with miniature horses weren’t in the center ring – they were at home on the farm, capturing the magic of these critter’s natural elegance and beauty through photography.
Today, Megan enjoys being behind the scenes and helps orchestrate the photoshoot experience.
Our Story
Ann first purchased a miniature horse for her daughter Megan 17 years ago, and it’s been a family passion ever since.
Megan grew up to be a miniature horse trainer, and together with Ann, they traveled across the country competing professionally on a National level.
While the thrill of competition was fun, something wasn’t right.
The ribbons and trophies were great, but they seemed an unjust label for the beauty and joy of each horse.
The most magical moments from these days weren’t in the competition arena – it was the photoshoots capturing their natural elegance.
It was these moments that nobody other than Ann and Megan were privileged to experience.
In 2023, Ann changed that.
She opened her farm to families to come and experience the magic of miniature horses.
Today, the Unbridled Visions experience captures not only the magic of the miniature horses, but the special bond between child and pony – one that can only be described through photography.
Whether it’s watching kid and pony fall in love at first sight or the sweet moments of the pair exploring the woods, it’s these moments that we feel privileged to witness and bring to fruition.
